K-WEST CUSTOM TENDER
Based on the Key West 28’ design, K-West was upgraded with an extended platform and carbon, Kevlar and resin infused sandwich hull laminate.
She was designed by Leo Kilmartin, founder of the business with over 20 years’ experience in the design and repair of luxury and high performance carbon yachts, including yachts from the America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race.
She offers a spacious and social walk around deck with central console and helm / co-pilot bench with bolster, and plenty of space to relax onboard and sit comfortably when underway, with a large L-shaped sofa in the aft cockpit, a forward console seat and twin benches forward. There is a vast lazarette on the bow, with cushions, lighting, and a carbon sink and sea toilet.
K-West is packed with high-end upgrades from i3 Composites including a custom carbon T-top, a carbon table with dedicated bracket and a custom carbon swim ladder. The helm is finished with carbon, and boasts twin Garmin glass screen plotters, VHF Radio and auxiliary controls. Her sound system has been fully upgraded with the Fusion Apollo head unit and Fusion speakers fitted within the cockpit and on the T-top itself.
She is fitted with underwater lights, colour changing courtesy lights within the speakers and courtesy lights fitted into the T-top. The decks are finished with a custom SEA DECK non- slip surface, with access panels to the boat systems and
generous top stowing storage lockers.
K-West is powered with the powerful Mercury V8-F250 XL Outboard engine, which offers top speed performances of
up to 40kts.
